A watch at last!
Well, after weeks without a watch, and a rather long & thorough journey, I’ve finally settled & purchased one.
We’ve gone through:
- a Tag Heuer Monaco – rejected in the end as the chances of me not scratching the plexiglass crystal are rather remote. If TH ever release a sapphire crystal chronograph Monaco, then I may well revisit this one.
- a Zenith Grande Chronomaster XXT (black guilloche face) – quite simply rejected as when it arrived, it didn’t work – rather disappointing considering all the great things I’d read about the El Primero movement. Trouble is, this one glitch put me off the brand – shame, as it was a beautiful watch.
- to finally… the Breitling Navitimer. Some photos from the photo link below. Very happy with this one – not as large as the Zenith, but when I finally got my hands on one, decided it had a far classier feel than I’d originally thought, plus it does everything I want functionality wise, has a classic look to it (with some history, which I always like), and at the end of the day, looks very nice indeed!
