The Youngest Strobist?

The Youngest Strobist?

Explanation….

This shot is taken by my daughter, Francesca, who has just gone 3 years old yesterday. We bought her a Fisher-Price kiddies digital camera (low quality pictures, low res, but very kid-proof!) and she has been shooting away non stop.

However, it occured to me that the on-board flash, whilst rather limited, could be used to trigger an SB-800 in slave mode…. and (as expected) it works! So, she now drops the SB-800 beside whatever she wants to shoot, backs up, and grabs the shot, without any help from Daddy other than me turning on the strobe in the first place :-)

Does this class as the youngest strobist ever!?!!?

p.s. I also quite like her composition on this one - she told me the angled shot was to “get everything in” ;-)

British Wildlife Centre

Tried somewhere new this weekend - the British Wildlife Centre. This is located near Lingfield in Surrey, and hosts a selection of British Wildlife. More information at their web site. We spent the afternoon there with Francesca, and she loved it! Click on the shot below to see some pictures….
